"In a world so loud, yet she felt unheard,
Two lost souls met through a string of words."
AUTHORS POV(SAISHA):
It had been a long, exhausting day for Saisha. The weight of her father's harsh words still clung to her like a heavy chain, suffocating her. She wiped her tear-streaked face with the back of her hand as she sat on the cold floor of her room, replaying the evening's events in her mind.
It all started that evening when her father's important business files went missing. If the only thing that her father cared about and above anything else was his business and business matters. They were crucial documents for an upcoming deal, and their disappearance had thrown the entire household into chaos. Her father had stormed into the living room, rage radiating off him like heat from a wildfire.
"Who touched my study table?" His voice boomed, making everyone freeze.
Her own mother, who had never been fond of her, cast a knowing glance in her direction.
"Saisha was there this morning. Maybe she misplaced them."
Saisha's eyes widened. "What? No! I didn't touch anything, I swear!"
Her father turned to her, his face darkening. "Don't lie to me! Every single time something goes wrong in this house, you're somehow involved."
"But I didn't—"
A sudden, sharp sting erupted on her cheek as his palm connected with her skin. The force sent her stumbling back, her vision blurring for a moment. A deep silence settled in the room.
Her heart shattered, not from the pain of the slap, but from the fact that he didn't even hesitate before believing the worst about her.
Without another word, she rushed upstairs, slamming the door shut behind her.
She knew her father hated the fact that he have two daughter's and no son and he blamed it on saisha as a bad luck for it .
Society have made him believe that no matter how good his daughter's are there's an absent space of a heir in his family.
Hours later, with a heavy heart, she picked up her phone. If there was one person who could make her feel better, it was Arsal.
She dialed his number. It rang. And rang.
No answer.
Biting her lip, she tried again. This time, he picked up after a few rings, his voice distant. "Yeah, Saisha? I'm kinda busy right now."
"I... I just wanted to talk," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath.
"Can we do this later? I have a match going on."
A match. Of course. Her pain, her shattered world—none of it mattered compared to his game.
"Right... Later then," she murmured, ending the call before he could respond.
She stared at the screen, her fingers trembling. She had no one. Not her family. Not Arsal.
As she was sitting and staring at the clouds chill cool air hit her face .she heard a notification thinking its arsal she picked up her phone but it was just another spam messages.
Her eyes wandered to an old app she had downloaded a while ago but never used—Anonymous Confessions. It was a place where strangers could vent without fear of judgment.
Desperate for an escape, she clicked on it. A simple interface greeted her. She tapped into a chat room labeled "Late Night Confessions" and hesitated before typing.
Setting her user name as GUMMY BEAR
Gummy bear (saisha): "Is it normal to feel like you don't belong in your own home?"
A reply came almost instantly.
Masked man : "More normal than you'd think. Rough day?"
Gummy bear (saisha): "You could say that. Just tired of being blamed for things I didn't do."
Masked man: "Sounds unfair."
She sighed, staring at the words. They weren't grand or poetic, but they made her feel like, for once, someone was listening.
Gummy bear(Saisha): "You don't even know me. Why would you care?"
A pause. Then—
Masked man : "Because sometimes, strangers understand us better than the people we live with."
She stared at the screen, her grip on the phone tightening.
Maybe, just maybe, this stranger was exactly what she needed..
AUTHORS POV( VIHAN):
Vihan ran a hand through his hair as he stepped into his apartment, the silence greeting him like an old friend. Another long, exhausting day at the office had drained him, but it wasn't just the work—he was used to that. It was the endless cycle of coming home to an empty place, the weight of solitude pressing against his chest like an invisible force.
He tossed his keys onto the table and shrugged off his blazer, walking straight to the bookshelf. Maybe reading would help. He grabbed a novel and settled onto the couch, flipping through the pages, but his mind refused to focus. His thoughts kept drifting—towards the nights he spent staring at the ceiling, towards the moments when sleep felt like a distant dream.
Restless, he placed the book aside and leaned back, closing his eyes.
And then, for some reason, he remembered what Shekhar had told him earlier that week.
"Bro, you should try this app—Anonymous Confessions. It's weirdly comforting. Sometimes, talking to strangers helps more than people we actually know."
Vihan had laughed it off at the time, dismissing it as another one of Shekhar's bizarre suggestions. But tonight, as he sat in his dimly lit apartment, something about the idea felt... tempting.
With a sigh, he grabbed his phone and searched for the app. A few minutes later, he had signed in, scrolling through random chat rooms. Most of the messages were either shallow conversations or people looking for meaningless interactions.
He was about to exit when a soft chime rang.
New message from: Gummy Bear.
The name made him smirk. Who even chooses that? he thought. But then he read the message, and all amusement vanished.
Gummy Bear: "Is it normal to not feel at home in your own home?"
Something inside him stilled.
For a moment, he just stared at the words, feeling an odd weight settle in his chest. It wasn't just a random question—it was pain disguised as curiosity. And somehow, it pulled him in.
A memory surfaced from years ago—his mother's soft voice, her fingers running through his hair as she told him, "Not everyone is lucky to have a loving family, beta. Those who do are truly blessed."
He had never truly understood the depth of her words back then. But tonight, they came rushing back, making him realize how much truth they held.
Without overthinking, he typed back.
Vihan: "More normal than you'd think. Rough day?"
A pause. Then—
Gummy Bear: "You could say that. Just tired of being blamed for things I didn't do."
Vihan exhaled, leaning back against the couch. He had no idea who this person was, what their story was, or why they had messaged him of all people. But at that moment, none of that mattered.
For the first time in a long while, he felt the need to talk. To listen.
And just like that, the conversation began.
Two strangers.
Two different worlds.
And yet, in that lonely night, miles apart but bound by invisible threads of pain and longing—
Their worlds collided.
SAISHA:
Later the next day i was actually relieved that i was able to vent it out at least somewhere and there was someone who listened to me and my problems without giving any reason or telling me that i am overdoing it or even over reacting and the most famous one i have been hearing it almost everyday from arsal that i other think everything.
I was in canteen with vaish telling her everything that happened as she was on a sick leave which made it worse for me because she is like my vitamin capsule which gives me strength to go through all of this and still carry a smile on my face . I have heard many times people complain that people in their life don't stay everyone leaves but those people forget to count their friends amongst the people who choose them over any situation. I wish i could say that for arsal as well but .....LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS GOLD AND SHIMMERS .
I was deep in my thoughts when i saw him coming towards me we haven't talked from last night nor he have bothered to ask me what was the reason i have even called .As he started talking i cut him saying " i dont want to talk to you , do you even care if live or die ,hell if anything happens to me ." i know that it will sound dramtic but as much i hate to accept the fact that i crave love ,attention , and respect . Arsal is failing me big time.
"Don't you think you are over reacting i was busy and you were in your home saisha for God's sake don't act like someone harmed you. I'm fed up of this can you just be a bit positive sometimes .do you know how much of negative aura you have . Also the talent of making it all my fault at the end of the day and making me feel guilty."with that he stormed off without even turning around to check on me .
"BASTARD how dare you " vaish shouted as i was not even able to move and process things.
DO I REALLY DESERVE ALL THIS . AM I LACKING SOMWHERE ?.....
